To join the yacht club, a prospective member must fill out an application which requires the sponsorship of two current members. The prospective member will come to a meeting of the Board of Directors to submit the application with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. It is expected that the new member then appear at the membership meeting, which is the second Thursday of each month, where he/she will be voted in by the membership. At that time, the new member will pay the initiation fee of $1610 and a $60 party fee, totaling $1670.
*There are no membership meetings in December, January or February.
A member can expect to pay the following annual fees:
Annual Dues: $260
Dredging Fee: $500 bi-annual *
A member can also expect to pay the following dock fees which includes water and electricity:
Boats Under 21-feet: $16/foot
Boats 21-feet to 42-feet: $22/foot
A Member's duties include:
First year probationary members must complete 30 work hours.
After the first year, regular members must complete 8 work hours per year.
All members are required to attend security watch, typically twice per year between Labor & Memorial Day. (7pm - 11pm)
Like all clubs, members are subject to assessments, when needed, to keep the club functioning and in good order.
